I am a writer who lives in Northern Colorado. I love all things outdoors, especially running, walking my dog, and hanging out in the mountains. I love words, too. I love playing with them and seeing where they take me in whatever project I am working on. I have done all kinds of writing. I worked as a journalist for 11 years and continue to write magazine articles here and there. I also write poetry and fiction. I am a graduate of the wonderfully inspiring Spalding University MFA program, and my poems and stories have been published in a few places, including the Paterson Literary Review, Bigger Than They Appear: An Anthology of Very Short Poems, Hip Mama Magazine (as Cristina Trapani Peck), Sweet Lemons 2: International Writings With a Sicilian Accent, Entropy Magazine and, the Bear River Review. I have definite highs and lows as a writer. This space is really about how I continue to navigate that journey, how I get through those difficult moments when I might want to throw in the towel.
My first chapbook of poems The Persistence of a Bathing Suit was published in 2017 by Finishing Line Press.
